I took this lovely local family down to Abalone Cove, where the post-storm sunlight and early spring grass made a great setting to capture their interactions. The little boy was just about to turn one, and for a child that small lasted most of our 3 hour session with great smiles.

An architectural shoot of a building completed by the Hearne Corporation, designed by Dominy + Associates Architecture.. I missed the daytime sun on the curved glass face, but the warm clear evening did provide an excellent dusk sky.

Andreea & Tudor – Redondo Beach Wedding Photography

This last weekend, I had the pleasure of doing the wedding photography for a wonderful couple, set in a beautiful historic home in Redondo Beach. The intimate gathering of family and friends were definitely enjoying a sunny summer afternoon (which we have been short of lately in Southern California) in this picturesque garden setting. Paul Lemire provided the acoustics. Floral design provided by Kate Daniell of Stems Floral Design.
…the cake in the box: yes, the official cake didn’t make it to the location in one piece. But it was still very tasty.

Karleen & Mikael – Pasadena Wedding Photographer, Old Town Pasadena United Methodist Church

This last weekend I had the honor of shooting this beautiful couple’s wedding at the historic United Methodist Church in Old Town Pasadena. About half of the guests were from the groom’s native country of Denmark, and had colorful stories and smiles to share with everyone. After the ceremony, we took some wedding photography shots around the chapel grounds, then moved to their friend’s home for an afternoon reception. Before the dinner later that evening, we headed down to the grand Pasadena City Hall for some amazing posed photos in the perfect dusk light.

As you can well see, not only was this a stunning couple to shoot, but they definitely knew how to model themselves in these fun photos.

Al & Jeanette – Los Angeles Wedding Photographer, Muckenthaler Mansion

In some of the first true sunshine this summer, I had the privilege of shooting the beautiful wedding of Al & Jeanette along with Cheri De Haro, at the historic Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton.

The sun was hot and the air was a bit humid for Southern California, but everyone had a great time at this finely detailed wedding.

Manhattan Beach Architectural Photography – Strand House

A few years after working on the design and drawings at Tomaro Architecture for this beautiful custom home on the Strand in Manhattan Beach, I met with the owner (who was the builder and design/detailer also) and offered to photograph it for his and our portfolios. In some ways I think it may be difficult to take a ‘bad’ photo of this home, especially with its location, but I think this architectural shoot came out as one of my best.

Wedding Fashion Photography – Montage Resort Laguna Beach
